The RAL facilities are available for testing conducted by private individuals, manufacturers or acoustical consultants. The test chamber, instrumentation and staff are available on an hourly or daily basis.

UL's Third Party Test Data Program (TPTDP)
RAL can conduct acoustical testing under UL's TPTDP program. Under the TPTDP, customers can conduct the tests at RAL and RAL will submit the test data to UL for the purpose of establishing acoustical certifications.

Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories is a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials and performs tests in accordance with the society's standardized methods. Other tests are conducted under methods that have been standardized by ANSI, ASHRAE, MILSTD, AIMA, AMA, SAE, ISO, DIN and other associations.

Besides periodical competency reviews and evaluations by Alion personnel, the RAL staff and facility is annually certified and evaluated by an accreditor designated for the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program by the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
